Inspired by the amount of waste produced by the growth of consumerism in Europe, seen through the weekly dispose of old stuff in the middle of the streets, the DIY SKATEBOARD project was created. The idea is simple: give people the tools and know how to transform waste into something new, in this case, a skateboard.

How to Participate:

You can download the design templates from the project's database and start building a board yourself. If you need any help, join the project's group, leave a message, maybe we can help you out building your first skateboard.

As consumption grows, much of our already limited natural resources become more and more endangered. The amount of waste generated mainly in developed economies is a problem to be tackled if we ought to try to solve the environment crisis. By giving waste a new life under the soul of a new product, we can contribute to a greener future for our planet.

“DIY SKATEBOARD” is an initiative to use stuff people trow away in a fun and inspiring manner. By utilizing an open source philosophy, my goal is to promote the sport of skateboard and to help people to be aware of what can be done with a little bit of creative power. At the Letsevo, anyone can download skateboard design templates along with building instructions to make their own skateboards.
